from a life principle.
My name is Gianluca Boncompagni, and welcome to my little passion project, Decide To Think.
If you're wondering about the name, it's pretty simple: I genuinely believe that you can truly change your life the moment you Decide To Think. Whether it's finding your purpose, nailing down your core principles, or just figuring out how to be a better version of yourself, it all starts with choosing to pause, reflect, and really question what life is throwing at you.

The Founder
From journalism to five continents
to a seven-figure exit.
A journalist who couldn't sit still.
I started as a journalist. Not because it seemed like a safe career, but because I was obsessed with storytelling, with understanding how things work, and with asking the questions other people were afraid to ask. Communication wasn't just a job; it was how I made sense of the world.
That instinct sent me everywhere. Over eight years, I lived and worked across five continents, from Latin America to Europe, Africa, Asia, and beyond. Every country was a new lens. Every culture taught me something about how people think, what they value, and how they make decisions. That global perspective would later become one of the most valuable things I brought to business.
Eight years building something real.
Eventually, I traded the newsroom for the warehouse. I built an e-commerce business from scratch, handling everything myself, from the online store to the physical space, from the marketing strategy to the operations. No shortcuts. No agency doing it for me.
Eight intense years. Every platform, every campaign, every system, I learned it by doing it. Amazon, SEO, email, paid ads, content. I scaled the business past $10 million in revenue, and eventually sold it for a seven-figure exit. That wasn't the end of the story. It was the beginning of a completely different one.
The exit that changed everything.
Selling the business wasn't just a financial event, it was a life reset. Stepping away from the daily grind of inventory, staff, and operations gave me something I hadn't had in years: space to think clearly.
That space became Decide To Think. A place to apply everything I'd learned, in business, in communication, in living across cultures, to help other founders and companies grow smarter, not just harder.
